Murdoch is back on his feet and running around after only 5 mins with the handheld around the wound. This horse had tried to jump a barbed wire fence and got his legs stuck. When he pulled free the barbed wire shredded his legs. We treated him Day 2 after the injury, he couldn’t walk Day 1. What is truly amazing is that this is a 25 year old horse.
Day 3 – We gave Murdoch another 30 mins and he is walking fine.
Day 6 – the wound is ugly, but clean. The dead flesh has gone.
7 Weeks – flesh, muscle & skin regrowth. No proud flesh formation and infection neutralised.
Now – normally this injury would leave a dent in the ankle. The flesh, muscle,skin and hair appear to be growing back.
